Our History
My Brother's Keeper (MBK) Cambridge began as an initiative of the Obama Foundation focused on addressing opportunity gaps facing boys and young men of color. Today, we’ve grown into a non-profit organization serving a wide population of our community including youth, young adults, parents and caregivers. Our team is composed of individuals who have a combined 100 years of volunteer experience to the City of Cambridge. As Cambridge's footprint grows we are keenly aware that all members of our community should be empowered to dream without limits.

Co-Founder/Co-President
Tony Clark
Tony Clark is a graduate of Cambridge Public Schools and holds degrees from Morehouse College, New York University, and The City University of New York. Tony is a seasoned educator and moderator, who previously held posts at New York University, The City University of New York, Columbia University, and Johns Hopkins University. He currently serves on the English faculty of Bunker Hill Community College, as a tenured professor. His work for the U.S. Department of Education along with other appointments has allowed him to work closely with over 25 school districts across the United States, focusing on education reform. Tony is an avid reader, a podcaster, and is currently working on his debut book to be released.

Ty Bellitti
Ty Bellitti is a Cambridge native who is dedicated to giving back to his community. He’s built a career spanning the corporate, non-profit and independent business sectors, which has afforded him the opportunity to develop expansive networks and relationships anchored by shared values rooted in community: honesty, respect, empathy and resiliency. Ty believes in the importance of empowering people through education, and his years of experience have helped him to build strong, diverse, effective teams that honor the collective and play to the strengths of each team member. Ty is currently the Co-President of My Brother’s Keeper Cambridge and a board member of the Cambridge Community Foundation.

Frank Barnes
Frank Barnes has been on the front lines as a community activist in Cambridge for 30 years. Frank is a graduate of Virginia Union University (HBCU). Frank was on the ground floor for important initiatives that have transformed hundreds of lives in Cambridge, including Hoops -N- Health under the stewardship of Former Mayor Kenneth E. Reeves, founding member of the LITE Basketball League, Man 2 Man, Qualls Academy at Fletcher Maynard Academy under the leadership of former Principal Robin Harris, and Sisters with a Dream under the leadership of Jill Seabrook. With the emerging needs of our youth in mind Frank is keenly aware of the importance of empowering our youth to reach their greatest selves.
